As a couple living in Manhattan and looking for a house in New Jersey, Amy was great on all fronts. I would give Amy 10 out of 5 stars if I could! We started working with Amy while we were still in California about the make the move to NJ. Amy prepared us by sending listings so we could familiarize ourselves with the market. In this very competitive market, it was great to hit the ground running with an understanding of what to expect before arriving in NJ. Amy was very clear to set expectations about the various communities.

Amy brought us to several houses each week. She was always honest with her opinion about the houses and the best strategy for being successful with a purchase. She never pressured us to go beyond our comfort zone. We ended up purchasing a home off market. That was possible because of Amy's relationships in the real estate community and her deep knowledge of the area.

Amy is the absolute best real estate agent and if you work with her, you will be in fantastic hands! There are two main things to consider when selecting a real estate agent - someone who knows the market and someone you can trust. Amy is both of those things and more.

Someone you can trust: she helped us immensely and looked out for our best interests the entire time. After a bad experience with our first agent (who told us no rush to see a house on a Sunday vs. a Monday but then right before we picked up our rental car told us we couldn't - yet the best and final offers weren't even due yet!) sooo I asked a friend in SOMa if she trusted anyone. Enter Amy! Amy came highly recommended and she helped us understand the market since we didn't really know neighborhoods or where we would be happiest. Amy constantly pointed out information we wouldn't have known as first time buyers (e.g., when a house had high quality windows or original trim) and suggested easy opportunities to add improvements. Similarly, Amy was incredibly flexible during COVID when there weren't Open Houses. During one visit, I mistook the time of our appointment and Amy was able to get us in to see it anyway.

Someone who knows the market. Amy educated us on how quickly homes moved and how to understand such an investment as both a place you want to live, but also what other buyers look for if we wanted to resell (perhaps this was just us, but I asked her this question a lot when we looked at homes!!) She also was very pragmatic when it came to putting in bids - she shared comps and told us to go with what we felt comfortable with when placing a bid - never suggested a price, which I super appreciated because it made us really think how much we wanted a home vs. if it was our dream home. This was especially since the market is wild!
